Shiftingmen Packers and Movers Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Shiftingmen, where we strive to provide efficient and reliable packing and moving services. As with any service agreement, it is important to understand the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of both parties. By engaging our services, you (“you” or “your”) agree to the following terms and conditions, while “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Shiftingmen.

Quotation and Additional Fees

Our quotation, unless otherwise specified, does not include insurance, customs duties, inspections, or any other taxes payable to government bodies. We reserve the right to charge additional fees in case of unforeseen circumstances that were not considered while preparing the quotation. If the work does not commence within seven days of acceptance, our costs may change due to currency fluctuations or changes in taxation beyond our control. If you collect goods from our warehouse, we may charge a fee for handling them.

Declaration of Value and Responsibility

It is your responsibility to declare the value of the goods being removed and stored with us in writing. You must obtain all documents, permits, permissions, licenses, and customs documents necessary for the shifting at your own expense. Your presence at the time of removal or delivery is required, and you must ensure authorized signature on agreed inventories, receipts, or other relevant documents to confirm and deliver goods. You must take all reasonable steps to ensure that nothing that should be removed is left behind and nothing is taken away in error. You are responsible for preparing and stabilizing all appliances or electronic equipment before the time of shifting. We are not responsible for the content inside freezers or refrigerators, as cleaning and ensuring they are empty is your responsibility. You must provide us with a contact address for correspondence during shifting transit or warehouse of goods. We will not be liable for any loss, damage, costs, or additional charges resulting from your failure to fulfill these responsibilities, except in cases of our negligence or breach of contract.

Liability and Compensation

We must ensure to deliver your goods in the same condition as they were in at the time of packing and shifting. If we have undertaken to pack the goods or make them ready for transportation or storage, it is our duty to deliver them to you safely or produce them for your collection, undamaged or in the same condition as they were at the time of packaging. If we fail to discharge these responsibilities, we will be liable to compensate you for such failure under this agreement. We will not be liable to compensate you where applied unless loss or damage occurred due to negligence or breach of contract on our part. We would not be liable to you for failing to fulfil the obligations unless the failure was the result of our negligence or a breach of contract if you do not give us a declaration of the worth of your goods or if you do not ask us to assume standard liability.

Prohibited Items

The following items must not be submitted for removal or storage: things that may present risks to health, safety, and fire; prohibited or stolen goods; potentially dangerous, damaging, or explosive items; drugs; pornographic material; gas aerosols; paints; bottles; firearms and ammunition; precious stones or metals; jewelry, watches, trinkets; deeds; securities; stamps; coins; money; or collections of any similar kind; plants or goods that are possible to encourage vermin or other pests or drive infestation or contamination; perishable items that require a controlled surrounding; any birds, animals, or fish; and goods that require special license or permission of the government for export or import. We will make such things available to you within a fair amount of time if you introduce them without telling us. However, we reserve the right to dispose of any such goods found in the consignment without warning by applying for a suitable court order.
